Hugh Martin Nolan is a native of Blacklion Co Cavan. In 1993 he went to New York where he spent 8 months with his sister. He then moved to San Francisco and lived in 1423 Girkham, Judah, San Francisco. On the 20 April 1994, he left his house and has never been seen since. He had just cashed a check in a downtown San Francisco Bank (Market Street) for $500. His Irish Passport has never been located (he would have needed this to cash the cheque and so it is with him). His case is being investigated by the Missing Persons Department of the San Francisco Police Department. His family, who live in Ireland, have been out to San Francisco a few times but the distance makes it all the more difficult. Hugh worked in the construction industry. We ask Irish Americans particularly in the San Francisco area to publicise Hugh's case by printing off a poster or by bringing it to the attention of newspapers.
