Hello, I am trying to help my Mother find her own Mother who gave her up for adoption following her birth on 17th November 1952. Alice Patricia Maguire gave birth to her at Stabane Hospital and then arranged for her to be adopted through the Convent of Mercy in Fahan, County Donegal.

My Mother was able to source a copy of her birth certificate a few years ago and it states that Alice was recorded as a Housekeeper from Ballymagorry which is just outside Strabane, Co.Tyrone.

I have seen that there is another person on this site also looking for an Alice Maguire. I am curious whether it could be the same person given the situations are only a couple of years and a few miles apart.
